Caribbean Airlines is the ‘Flag Carrier’ of Trinidad and Tobago. That being said, the headquarter of Caribbean Airlines is located it Piarco, in Trinidad and Tobago. Its main destinations are North America, Caribbean, Central America and South America. Also, the airline was founded in 2006 and started operations on the New Year day of 2007.

Introduction:

As of today Caribbean Airlines had achieved commendable success. When it first started, it had 6 Boeing 737-800 Aircraft along with one A340-313. This means that the airline operated only 2 cabin flights, first/business and the Economy (coach) class cabin. In the same year, Caribbean Airlines took over Tobago Express. However, one of the biggest takeovers is in the month of April 2010, with the overtaking of Air Jamaica.

Caribbean Airlines presently have a fleet size of 17 and fly to 17 countries and 22 destinations.

Caribbean Airlines Reservation

Caribbean Airlines reservation can be made either online, over the phone or with travel agency. However, there are a number of options available over designated to different countries. Here are some of the country options where Caribbean Airlines had opened phone service: USA, Canada & St Maarten, Trinidad & Tobago and Suriname, Guyana (international calls), Jamaica (international), Jamaica (local call), Havana, Cuba, Curacao, Grand Cayman, Caracas and the UK.

Ticket Offices of Caribbean Airlines

There are several ticket offices set up in and outside the airports.

Antigua, Barbados, Belgium and Caracas

Antigua Ticket Office is located at the airport in VC Bird International. It is 8 km away from the capital. But there is bus and taxi service available to the office. The office is open only from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Barbados Airport ticket office is in Grandley Adams. It is 18km away from the capital. You will get taxi service to that area.  If that is too far, there is another location available in the city as well. It is located in the 1st floor of Norman Center Building, Broad St, Bridgetown. By the way, the city office is open from Monday to Friday, 8.00 am – 4.00 pm.

In Belgium, Luxemborg, the ticket office of Caribbean Airlines is located in Aviareps BVBA, Jan Emiel Mommaertslaan 16 B, 1831 Diegem.

Caracas International Airport, it is available in the International Terminal. As you can see, it is 26 km away from the city capital. However, you will get taxi, subway and bus transportation from the city to the airport. Apart from this, there is also another office opened in the city, so you can visit the city ticket office as well. It is located in Boulevard Sabana Grande, Edificio Galerias Bolivar, Torr A – Piso – Of. 11-A. It is open from Monday-Friday 8.00 am to 12.30 pm.

Cuba, Ft Lauderdale, Germany, Grenada

Cuba City Ticket office is open Monday-Friday, 9.00 am – 4.30 pm. It is located in Calle 3ra Entre 70 Y 80 Miramar, Playa Centro De Negocios, Edificio Habana.

In Ft Lauderdale the ticket office is located only at the airport in terminal 4. It is 5 km away from the city center. You will be able to get taxi and coach. It is open 10am-5pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. Again, from Thursday to Monday it is open 11.00 am – 6.00 pm.

In Germany the ticket office is in AVIAREPS AG, Kaiserstrasse 77, 60329 Frankfurt / Main

Grenada office is in Maurice Bishop International which is 11 km away from the nearest city center. Remember, it is open only 3 hours prior to a schedule departure flight.

Likewise, There are other ticket offices available in Guyana, Jamaica (Kingston), Jamaica in Montego Bay, London (in the city), Miami (at the Airport), Nassau, New York, Orlando, Scandinavia, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, St. Vincent, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Tobago, Toronto and Trinadad. It doesn’t have a counter in Chicago Airport, but it could be in line in the coming future.

Caribbean Airlines Ticket Cancel/Refund

24 hours cancellation policy: Tickets that are booked from the official website of Caribbean Airlines or any of the ticket office is refundable within 24 hours of booking the flight. There are however, some conditions that have to be met. Furthermore, the flight that was booked should not be within 7 days of the departure. Secondly, tickets booked to fly within Trinidad and Tobago are not refundable. On top of that, the refunds of ticket will and only go back to the original form of payment.

After 24 hours of booking the flight the tickets will be non refundable except for those fare rules that allow refund. Also, the refund takes 7-21 business days. Likewise, all refunds are made to the original form of payment that was used to book the flight. There are penalties applicable every time the ticket is cancelled or changed.

Most importantly, if the reservation is not cancelled before the departure, customers will not be eligible for refund or any credit. As a result, it will be considered of no value anymore.

Consequently, the refund of ticket may also incur penalties depending on the restrictions of the ticket. In that situation, the terms and condition of the ticket will be determined.

However, apart from these if the flight was cancelled due to unavoidable situation like natural calamities, weather, ATC or political crisis. There will be no penalty charged to the customer except for the processing fee.

Caribbean Miles

The frequent flyer program of the Caribbean Airlines is called the “Caribbean Miles”. As the name suggest, the program allows members to earn miles every time you fly with Caribbean Airlines. The miles can also be accumulated by using RBC Royal Bank or Caribbean Airlines Frequent flyer VISA credit card, or by shopping with a partner of Caribbean Airlines such as Massy and Hertz car rental.

Earning Caribbean Miles by Flying

First of all, the Caribbean Miles number consists of 10 digits. Furthermore, add the frequent flyer number in your reservation and you will receive the miles in your account in 3 days after departure. In case you have forgotten to mention the frequent flyer number in the reservation and the flight is flown. You will get 6 months time limit to still receive the miles. Otherwise, You can call the customer service help-desk number and get it arranged.

Above all, make a note of the restrictions on the earning of miles as there are several types of tickets where the miles are not eligible to be earned. If you are flying on a ticket that is purchased using miles or flying within Trinadad and Tobago, Charter flights with Caribbean, free ticket, sponsored ticket of Caribbean Airlines and flight booked using Promotional Certificates.

With Caribbean Airlines, the miles are valid for 3 years. If there is no active transaction within that time, the miles in the account will automatically expire after 36 months. Expired accounts cannot be reinstated. Transfer of miles or earning miles by flying or shopping is considered as a valid transaction.
